The “Facts and Myths about Snowmobiling and Winter Trails” publication is an educational document intended to expanding the readers’ knowledge about snowmobiling management, providing facts in hopes of dispelling many of the associated common myths. This publication was developed by the American Council of Snowmobile Associations (ACSA) with funding provided by the Recreational Trails Program administered by the US Department of Transportation – Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and has been revised for use by the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO) with the permission of ACSA. The document provides information on the following:
